Logan Heatherton, aged 26.
Just like with Shard, I'm recycling characters of a superhero project I had been involved with together with some friends.
Copyright belongs to me ;D and if you had similar ideas for powers, then high five for the telepathy!
Logan is a young billionaire, very important in the business world. He started working for a tech company producing technological software, but then produced his own product, left the company, and joined another which paid him more for it.
He was lucky, at the time, to have the right contacts and the talent.
He's now the owner of the company he set out to build, and has hired a very influencial CEO which takes care of all the financial and managerial roles for him. Logan is also patron of three other highly desirably companies.... and the more money he lends, the more interest comes flooding in on his bank account.
The money and his shady reputation means that he can travel around in peace, seeing the world and it's many wonders....
..but maybe that's just an excuse.
Logan suffers of extreme bi-polar disorders.
He has two sides to him: the successful businessman with all the right contacts, called Messenger
...and Garbage, the more shady side to him.
Logan is his human side. Nice guy, loves travelling, sometimes a little awkward with the ladies.
Messenger is the charismatic, influencial and highly intelligent superhero.
And Garbage is the coward, the devious, and the sneaky side to him.
That said, Logan's superpowers:
as MESSENGER, Logan is a kind of Hermes. He space-travels without many complications and without exerting himself too much. Sometimes he controls the power, sometimes the power controls him... he can just blink out of one room and appear on the other side of the world, JUST IN TIME for something major to happen. Often this can be disorienting, but Logan's bi-polar side of him, Messenger, is always quick on his feet and knows how to do the right thing at the right time.
Then comes GARBAGE.
Logan, di per se, has a mousy appearance. Ever since he was a kid, there was something geeky and not too handsome about him. He was called "rat" by the school bullies, and "mouse" by his affectionate parents and friends.
Not too unexpectedly, but still terrifyingly, Logan discovered his powers and the side-effects of being 'not completely normal'.
He assumed rat-like traits.
He'd have days in which he was completely lazy, enjoying the squallor of his room and the mess that surrounded him.
Then, by age 16, something dawned on Logan: he would walk into a room and instinctively know it's design and layout. It would happen when he'd walk into a building: knowing in detail every floor, every room, every fire escape and every ventilation system - tubing included.
As you may guess, this ability comes in handy when he space-travels to a different place without wanting to.
But, the only catch is that Logan's bi-polar disorder means that when he's Messenger, he can't be Garbage; and when he's Garbage, he can't be Messenger.
As Messenger, Logan is some kind of lawful greek god: willing and capable of helping others, holding a bargain, listening and reassuring. He's the type of friend you want to have, the leader you want to follow, and the man you want to date.
But Garbage... Garbage 'the rat' is the villain you want to avoid. Cowardy when confronted, and manipulative with information he acquires.
One word: stay clear from Garbage.
POSSIBLE PLOTS AND DRAMA: you can trust Messenger with your life, but never Garbage. How can you know who is who?
